LOCAL NEWS-
At approximately 8:30 PM on Saturday, October 8th Crookston Police Officers responded to Taco Johns on a report that an 11 year old male had been chased by three to four people; one was dressed as a clown.  Officers learned the victim had been in the area of Locken Blvd. and Memorial Drive when he encountered a person dressed as a clown.  He was extremely frightened and fled on his bike.  While on his way to Taco Johns he again encountered a person wearing clown items.  Once he arrived at Taco Johns he called his grandmother who in turn called the police.  During this time the Police Department received several other reports of a person, or persons, dressed as clowns in various parts of town standing in the street in the lane of traffic.
Three juveniles; one female age 16 and two males age 15, were located a short time later in the area of North Broadway and 4th Ave North.  One of the males was wearing a complete clown costume including a mask and wig.  A large kitchen/butcher style knife was found on him at that time; he was arrested.  Criminal charges are pending for all involved and the incident is an active investigation.
