Charlene Mae Corona, 40 of Crookston, was sentenced Wednesday in Fargo's federal
court for two counts of bank robbery and will serve nine years in prison. U.S.
District Judge Ralph Erickson also ordered her to pay $21,890.26 in restitution
and serve three years of supervised release after her release from prison.
Corona was arrested for two armed robberies in Grand Forks on September 30,
2015. Corona had a utility knife and demanded money from tellers at Bremer Bank
before fleeing with $4,095.
In another robbery on October 12, Corona entered the Citizens Community Credit
Union and pointed a gun at several employees and told them to put money in a
garbage bag and left with $17,795.
