LOCAL NEWS-
As of Wednesday morning nobody had filed to run for Crookston School Board. 
The Crookston School District has three openings for School Board candidacy for the November 8 election.  The seats that are open are the following - Frank Fee, Dave Davidson, and Kari Miller.
Affidavit of Candidacy filing forms are available in the District Office at Crookston High School by parking in the east parking lot and enter the building using Door 10.  See Marilyn Wahouske, District Office Coordinator to apply.  Interested people can file to run for city council through August 16 at 5:00 p.m.  There is a $2 filing fee per application.
Four people filed for Crookston City Council spots on Tuesday. 
Filing in Ward 1 was Lynda Kenney.
Filing in Ward 3 was the incumbent Clayton Briggs.
Filing in Ward 5 was the incumbent Dale Stainbrook.
Filing for the Council at Large was Cindy Gjerswold.
