The 116th annual Polk County Fair starts on
Wednesday, July 6 at the fairgrounds in Fertile. Wednesday is the sneak-a-peak
day with set up of exhibits and the midway opening up at 5:00 p.m. followed by
the rodeo at 7:00 and from 9:00 to midnight they will have free karaoke for all
ages.
Michelle Cote is a director and in charge of 26 vendors and Cote said there are
three new food vendors, Berry Burst of Crookston, Althea’s Bakery of Fosston and
a roasted nut vendor in the Bergeson Cabin. Each day a girls and boys bike will
be given away and Senior Citizen day is on Friday, July 8 starting at 9:30 a.m.
with bingo followed by entertainment, lunch and prizes for everyone over the age
of 55.
